Case Study – Thales Australia

9 volumes plus additional folders with financial reports.

About the project

Thales is a world leader in aerospace, space, ground transportation, security and defence.

Thales Australia won the bid for building up Taiwan’s new Air Traffic Management System (ATMS). The system provides a superior capability to Taiwan’s Air Navigation & Weather Services (ANWS) with higher levels of safety, efficiency, performance and contingency.

The tendering and contracting document consist of more than 300 000 words, covering legal, technical, and financial information.

We developed a unique workflow including term management, file management, proofreading and editing. The lead translator for the project is an experienced linguist trained in commercial law. He did a fantastic job to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the translated technical and industry-specific terminologies across all documents.
The translation and typesetting of charts, tables and financial reports were delivered at a high quality in the final product for Thales.

The experience and knowledge enabled us to deliver a quality translation of a complex project within the agreed timelines for Thales.
